The storm started raging and the enormous waves started crashing against our fishing boat. My husband and I had no idea that this storm would come out from the middle of nowhere. We wondered how could the weather forecast be so wrong? This trip was supposed to be a fun family fishing trip, but it quickly turned into one of the scariest situations that my family and I have ever been in.

My husband, two daughters and I went on a family fishing trip on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. We planned to be gone for a few hours and be home by dinner time. Plans quickly changed because once the storm started sweeping in, we knew we were too far out at sea to get back before the storm hit its peak. I feared that my daughters would be thrown overboard from the rough waters. We all rushed to the inside of the boat for safety before the storm was uncontrollable.

My husband has impeccable fishermen skills which led us out of the storm safely. My husband saved my daughters and I from what could have been a disastrous experience if none of us were skilled at operating the fishing boat. This experience hasn’t stopped my family and I from doing what we love the most though. This story is now an exciting part of our life that we get to tell others.
