I created the fictional company Faded, a women’s clothing boutique located in Laguna Beach, California. It is inspired by a Beachy Boho Chic style and it is focused on femininity and simplicity. Building the company’s brand was an enjoyable experience. I used Canva to design the logo and letterhead which incorporates florals and simple shapes to represent the brand.

At the end of Faded’s first year of business, I wrote an annual report that presented their expenses, information, strategy, and recommendations for improvement. The layout includes visuals and important details about the company. One of the most exciting pieces of information that the report includes is in the Innovation and Technology section. The company plans to launch a mobile app that allows the shopper to be their own model when shopping online. When the shopper opens up the mobile app, they enter in their gender, height, and weight which then shows a representation of the shopper. This allows them to be able to try on clothing virtually in the app to get an idea of how the clothing will fit and look on them.

This annual report is detailed and organized with a clear representation of Faded’s first year of business. The most difficult part of this assignment was creating all of its information from scratch. I did a lot of research on businesses in order to come up with realistic company information. This project was a fun learning experience and it included many important steps to form this report.
