Designing another business and its website was the easiest part of this project. On the other hand, using XML coding for at least one page on the website was the trickiest part. I created a coffee shop called CoffeeHouse and used WordPress to create its website. Featured on this website are the following pages: menu, about us, locations, and blog. I chose to do the about page with XML coding. The page is simple, but effective. It is challenging for me to use XML coding because I don't have a lot of experience with it. I wish that I could add more to this coded about page, but I am proud that it has an organized layout with easy readability.
The blog page features two posts written for CoffeeHouse's blog. When writing these posts, it was important to me that they centered around coffee. One of the posts was “How to Brew the Perfect Cup of Coffee.” This idea popped up in my head because at the time it seemed that a lot of people that I knew had this question. The second post is about a game night that the business has the first Friday of the month. It encourages customers to join them and it gives more details on the event. The idea with this post was to draw the community together and create a fun experience for them to join. It made the coffee shop stand out by having a blog and having a game night. There is also a section where the customer can subscribe to their blog, all they need to do is enter their email in.
